Recap The Rangers held off the Jays to clinch the American League West. Vincent Brady had 3 hits and also scored 3 runs for the Jays, who trailed only 8-7 going into the bottom of the 5th inning. Will Medina and Logan Quinsey each had RBIs in the 3-run fifth to give the Rangers an 11-7 lead. Eric Stover got the final three outs in the top of the sixth. Medina had a big game at the plate with 3 hits, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Quinsey had two hits and two RBIs. Jake Sarver of the Rangers scored twice and Mason Baker had a run scoring double for the Rangers. Chris Perez made a good defensive play, catching a fly ball to right and then throwing a runner out attempting to tag and advance to third. Jordan Anderson for the Jays scored 3 runs. Brady and Anderson combined to score 6 of the 8 runs for the Jays. Christian Fraijo pitched the first three innings for the Rangers to earn the win. | |
